Organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, Live Aid raised over $150 million for famine relief in Ethiopia, demonstrating the power of collective action and the impact of music on global issues.

A Historic Concert

On July 13, 1985, some of the biggest names in music performed at Wembley Stadium in London and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, broadcasting to an audience of 1.9 billion people across 150 countries.

Phil Collins made history by performing at both venues, traveling from Wembley to London's Heathrow Airport by helicopter, then boarding a British Airways Concorde flight to New York City, before taking another helicopter to Philadelphia.
